Thank you for working hard every day, in all weather conditions, and in many cases in rural, remote locations. Your work is important because it helps us transport and deliver

fuel that powers our way of life to markets in Canada and globally.

• Work safely – always be aware of your task at hand and your surroundings. You have my explicit consent to refuse any work you feel is unsafe.

• Work responsibly – be aware of our footprint and do your best to limit your impact to the landscape that our right-of-way and facilities construction is on. We are stewards of the land and we have a responsibility to work carefully.

• Be kind – we are a respectful workplace, and it is never acceptable to treat a colleague poorly. When disagreements happen, talk it out calmly and seek to understand the other’s opinion. Do not exclude, bully, harass one another. Jokes are fine but be a mindful of when a joke can cross the line. In other words, treat others as you’d like to be treated yourself.

• Be fit for work – please do not put yourself or others in harms way if you are not mentally fit for work. If you are struggling with an issue – and we all do from time-to-time – then seek help. We have supports in place for you. Take care of your wellbeing and only by being healthy yourself can you show up for others.
